How to create more than 1 set of recovery discs:

You need to rename the two hpcd.sys to hpcd.sys.bak. One hpcd.sys was located in the root of HP_RECOVERY partition and second in C:\Windows\SMINST\.
It’s necessary to rename/delete them both!

XP installation on DV6636nr and SATA drivers for XP

Drivers:

Try this Nvidia Chipset,it has worked for many models.Install and Reboot before installing other drivers.

Use the drivers from dv6000z cto for the rest.Broadcom Wireless,HP Quick Launch,Synaptics,AMD Processor Update,Media Card Reader,etc are all there.
For audio install MS UAA before Conexant Audio and Modem drivers.

(Nvidia Chipset and Graphics won’t work from this model).
